Be a skater in Romania

I think everybody just loves vacations – what’s not to love about a holiday? There are so many things to discover and explore – new or known cultures, local cuisine and people that make it possible for one to enjoy culinary delights. And of course, let’s not forget visiting new places. While traveling, everyone brings their** own wishes** with them. Sometimes this involves practicing a sport much loved, one of them being skateboarding. I think we can agree on one thing: for skateboarders, the world and its cities are its stages. Sometimes one can prefer an organized place of gathering. If one wants to be a skater in Romania, here are the skate parks to visit. 

The newest addition – Obor Skate Park Sibiu 

The newest skate park and the biggest one in Romania opened just recently. Obor Skate Park in Sibiu spreads across about 10.000 square meters, almost 4.000 of them being occupied by areas for practicing sports. The rest goes for the administrative areas – like dressing rooms and toilets and green areas. So, when one needs a break, he can relax and admire a corner of nature. The location of this skate park is** special. It is **placed at the margin of the city so that one can enjoy the quietness of this unique place.

There are some important **pieces of information **one should know about this park. The entrance is free, and the skate park is open daily between 8h and 22h. No pets are allowed in this park, so as sad as it is, if you travel with our companion pet you are not allowed to bring it with you.

If you are traveling to** Sibiu**, don’t forget to check some of its** landmarks** like the Brukenthal National Museum, the Bridge of Lies, the Fortress Street or the Astra Museum. 

Skate Park Rozelor Cluj-Napoca 

My favorite park in Romania is in Cluj-Napoca, Rozelor Park. When it was inaugurated, in 2012, this park was named „the best skate park in Romania “. It is the newest addition to the municipal park of Cluj-Napoca and the reason I enjoyed this park is that it is protected from the city life and the noise that comes with it.

If your journey brings you to Cluj-Napoca, there are a lot of landmarks you should visit, including the botanical garden in Cluj-Napoca. If you seek some quiet time, you can be incognito at the Museum’s Square or on top of the Cetățuia Hill and admire the breath-taking view.

Skate Park Gravity Constanța 

Last but not least, one should not forget about the skate park in Constanța. Gravity Skate Park is also a perfect place for outdoor activities. While in this city, there are a few must-sees: the Casino and the Naval Shipyard. 

Sometimes one must choose between sightseeing activities and practicing sports during the holidays. **To be a skater in Romania **is surely something you can do at the same time while visiting one of its amazing cities.
