Winter festival in Dubrovnik - music, fun and food

Winter is coming in Dubrovnik and together with it - the great Winter Festival, that usually lasts during the month of December, for the New Year's Eve and a few days after. This year, there are many special occasions planned, so if you still don’t know where to take your better half for the New Year's Eve, take your coats and come to Dubrovnik! You don’t need anything else, as you will find just everything you need right there. Get ready for this year's Winter festival in Dubrovnik with good music, lots of fun and great food.

On Saturday the 1st of December, Winter Festival will start with lightning up a big candle in front of the St. Vlah Church. After that, you can stay and attend a concert of one famous singer from Croatia - Petar Grašo. The concerts will be organized in many different parts of the city, and, as always, on the streets will be many little wooden houses that offer everything from hand-made hats to wonderful home-made desserts such as fristula. Get warm with a cup of cooked red wine with a slice of cinnamon and pepper and relax with a sound of live music. You will enjoy the sounds of domestic singers but also the foreign ones. If you like salsa and pop music, famous Gipsy Kings band should be your choice on the 29th of December. New Year's Eve will be in the romantic colors, and a few famous domestic singers will warm up the crowd.

Bring the youngest to the Christmas fairytale spectacle and be a kid yourself for a moment. Attend the school of cooking and learn how to prepare Croatian desserts, or visit some museum, a park or a church. During the day, be a part of the Christmas spirit on every corner of the city, and in the evening take a romantic walk by the sea. Don't miss to visit Lazareti and Pile Gate. Besides Stradun, the main street in Dubrovnik, Pile is the most crowded part of the city - so, try to avoid the tourist jam.
