The central place in the architectural ensemble of Victory Square is the Monument or the Obelisk of Victory. This monument was built in 1954 in honor of soldiers of the Soviet army and partisans of Belarus who died in the battles for the liberation of Belarus. The height of the obelisk is about 40 meters. The monument is faced with a gray granite and is completed with the image of the Order of Victory. Picture © Credits to iStock/AlexanderXXI
