Shrimping on horseback! It’s a thing. Meet up with the shrimp fishermen and try it out yourself.
This area is known for its super fresh yummy shrimp for a reason. Ever seen people fishing on horseback before? Well, now you will. Head along to the beach to this unique sight.
How it works
How does shrimp fishing on horseback work? Well, they basically walk the horses into the sea with a net behind them. When they come out of the sea, they look at the net and collect the shrimps. Turns out shrimp fishing has been a thing here since at least the 1500s.
Try it out!
Want to actually try fishing on horseback yourself? Book yourself and the kids in for a sea class. This activity is always a winner with families.
