From the lake to the treetops, gear up for a day filled with activities at this recreational mecca.
Just south of Brussels you’ll find this hub of adventure in an awesome green setting. With activities spanning across several hectares there’s something to please everyone from the young’uns to the oldies.
Pack your swimmers!
Be sure to nab yourself a spot on the large grassy area by the lake as your base for the day. Whether you’re in it, on it, or just looking at it, there’s just something about being by water on a hot summer’s day.
- There’s a designated swimming area for taking a dip and two water slides if wading or jumping in just won’t suffice.
- If you’re looking for more fun on the water, slip and slide your way through the Aquapark - one of the largest inflatable obstacle courses in the region.
- Searching for slightly dryer, more relaxed vibes? Rent a paddle boat to head out onto the water and take in the surrounding nature without having to get wet. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
- You can also relax by the water’s edge with a fishing rod if that’s your kind of thing. Lake Godarville has several varieties of fish to catch whether you’re an amateur or experienced angler.
Dry adventures
There’s also plenty to do that doesn’t involve the water…
- Spice up your day on the tree climbing trail. Perfect for you adventure buffs, you’ll climb, zip and jump your way through the tree course (all safely harnessed in, of course). You’ll even zip out all the way across the lake so you can wave at the pedal boaters as you whizz past.
- Practice your putting and challenge your friends or fam to a (friendly) round of mini golf.
- There’s also a well-sized playground for some good, old fashioned fun.
Getting hungry? If you haven’t brought your own and want to grab some food, head to La Brasserie du Lac for some refreshments and an ice cream to cool down. There’s also a food truck serving fries next door if you’re looking for a quick stop.
