The Iconic Duvel beer - an oldie but a goodie! Go on a tour to sample their award winning Belgian pale ale and see their bottling operation

This brewery had its start in 1871 by Jan-Léonard Moortgat and his wife Maria De Block. Their top fermented beers soon became popular in their local area and now Duvel beer has become popular around the world. At World’s Beer Awards in 2018, Duvel won the Best Belgian Pale Beer category. Fans of Duvel beer will love visiting the brewery; their guided tours are comprehensive and most importantly - include sampling

  • The brewery tour lasts about an hour. You can get headsets so you can wander a bit to see what you want and still hear the guide
  • What’s different about the tour compared to others is their bottling operation. Duvel makes a lot of beer besides Duvel! You get to see the sheer quantity of beer being bottled in their plant.
  • Duvel beer takes 90 days to brew. You can try it from the tap at their brewery or from the bottle
  • You’ll also find their newer hoppy Tripel beers here in the bar too
  • Their bar is one of the few that has a piano. If you’re lucky you’ll get to enjoy some music while you enjoy a drink
  • Just a short drive away is Distillery De Molenberg. It’s only a small distillery, but it’s been running for 400+ years
