The Place Fernand Cocq is a bustling place of Ixelles. It was first called Place Léopold, then Place Communale following its enlargement, and it was dedicated in 1920 to the lawyer Fernand Cocq, long alderman of Public Instruction, burgomaster from 1918 to 1921 and father of the painter Suzanne Cocq. He was also a deputy, minister of justice and high dignitary of Freemasonry. ©Desi Krsteva
