Jazz it up at the live music venue in the old train station.
Set in the now restored old railway station of Saint-Josse-ten-Node, Jazz Station hosts tons of music events, festivals and music talks. It’s a jazz club super close to the heart of Brussels. Whether you’re looking for a hangout spot on a night out or you’re really into music, Jazz Station has all the vibes you need.
Jazz nights: this is why you’re here! Sip a beer or wine as you enjoy the music. Jazz Station has regular performances in the evening from local and international musicians from all over the world. Music students from the Royal Conservatory put on shows too.
- Festivals: Jazz Station hosts two festivals throughout the year. The River Jazz Festival takes place in January. This venue is just one of three when the 50 musicians perform. One of the highlights of the festival is the evening where 1 musician takes on the challenge to perform at all three venues in Brussels (Jazz Station, The Senghor, and The Marni). The Saint Jazz Festival takes place over the course of two nights in September and features performances from local and international jazz musicians.
- Family friendly: sometimes on Sundays, you’ll find jazz performances made for young kids. The musicians will interact and explain their instruments and music. Good for kids from ages 5+ who are already into music.
- Artsy exhibits: free and open to see on Wednesday to Saturday and during concerts, all the art here is at least loosely linked to jazz. Occasionally, there’s shorter temporary exhibits too. There was a free exhibit on Jack Sels, one of the first major jazz musicians in Belgium.
