Hang out at the park right behind the EU parliament. Wildlife, busy business workers, and more all relax here.
Leopold Park is a hotspot for everyone in Brussels after a breath of fresh air. Joggers, tourists, workers on break, dog-walkers, and many more make their way to the park to relax. Come rain or shine, the park is the perfect place to laze around with a good book or cheer your children on as they snowball fight. Leopold Park looks fresh and young, but it’s older than you! The park has been a relaxing community space since 1898
The City of Brussels owns the park these days, but back then it was made for for scientific and leisure activities. How times have changed. In the park, you’ll find a lake, a history museum, rare trees, the Pasteur institute, the former Solvay school of commerce, the Solvay school of sociology, Solvay school of physiology, and the former Solvay library.
The park is home to many wildlife species like Egyptian geese and rose-ringed parakeets. Aspiring nature photographers can get cute shots here. The park is filled with joggers, tourists, stress-relieving workers, dog-walkers, and anyone looking to get a quick breath of fresh air.
Getting there
"Really chill area to hangout with friends, and you still have a nice view of the European Parliament from there."
