- Tradition done well: As the oldest market in the country, Liege knows how to keep it classic. Look up! Everywhere you look there are Christmas decorations hanging above as you stroll through the streets. Look around you and you’ll see Walloon and French artisans lined up in the market stalls ready to supply you with all of your Christmas necessities. 
- While you’re taking in all of the Christmas vibes, make sure to check out the traditional Christmas food! They’ve got you covered with oysters, raclette, cured meats, blood sausage, gingerbread, chocolate, Christmas beer, and of course mulled wine!

This mountain of stairs is nothing like what I had seen before, the sight of it from the bottom is definitely more shocking than any picture I have seen before attempting the climb.

The climb turned out to be way more demanding than I had expected. I knew it was worthwhile to take on this challenge once I set my eyes on the panorama of the beautiful city.


Not quite a stairway to heaven, these 300+ steps take you to the top of Liege for city views you can’t get anywhere else.
