History is packed full of stories and at Manhay History 44 Museum you’ll learn all about the stories of the WWII American forces who defended the Ardennes region

Built by two WWII history enthusiasts, this museum lets you know all about the battles that took place here and shows you the soldiers who fought in them. WWII scenes are recreated with backdrops and mannequins, plus videos from WWII to immerse you in this historic atmosphere. You can also book a guided tour (lasts 1.5 hours) to get even more history in your life.

Museum Collection

The WWII history museum has a collection of military artifacts recovered in archeological digs and explorations around the region, plus donations from American veterans who fought in Manhay. Discover relics of the 75th Infantry Division, 3rd Armored Division, US Pilots and many more. You’ll see WWII weaponry, soldier’s gear, real WWII photos, plus lots more.

WWII History

Have you noticed the tanks around Manhay? Lots of battles took place in Manhay in WWII.

Manhay is pretty well-known in military history. From December 19th, 1944 till January 4th, 1945, soldiers fought here to hold the line and protect Manhay. The museum focuses on WWII history and has lots of info on the Battle of the Bulge too. The Ardennes region is well known for this battle, which was a big attack by Germany on the American forces in Belgium. After close calls, defensive work, and arrival of backup, America won. This led to the Liberation of the Belgian villages. Get all the history deets at the museum.
