Nestled into the bottom of a 9-hectare estate in Walloon Brabant, Renipont beach has recently had a makeover with 200 tonnes of white sand and beachy activities. Known to the locals as Renipont Plage, this place is a must visit in the summer! Get ready to swim in one of Belgium's natural swimming spots.
No more driving to the coast to fight for a place to put your towel - Renipont beach is discreet yet accessible, making it the perfect little paradise to enjoy with family and friends.
- Let the kids play on the slide while you relax on the sandy banks and take in the surrounding nature.
- There are two boules (petanque) pitches and a beach volleyball court if you fancy getting a little tournament going!
- The pond is fed by a spring water stream meaning the water is perfectly healthy and clean. It is also closely monitored by inspectors to make sure it stays at the top of the bathing water classification.
Hungry? “La Guingette” tavern has a vast terrace right on the water serving up simple, good, easygoing vibes (and food).
Tips and Tricks
- You can visit the tavern for free but you must pay a fee to go on Renipont Plage.
- It can get very busy on sunny days; if you’d prefer a quieter visit, plan to arrive in the late afternoon or early evening.
- You’re not allowed to bring your own picnic except water and fruit.
- During summer the tavern serves food non-stop, all day.
- Don’t be the guy who plays music no-one else wants to listen to - this is an actual rule.
- The employees here put in extra effort to make sure the space stays clean and tidy so do your bit and clean up after yourself.
- These swimming areas are natural - respect and preserve our nature!

- By Bus: Bus stop LASNE Renipont is a 4-minute walk away. Buses 36, 58 and 125 stop here.
Open everyday; 11:00 to 20:30. Tavern closes at 22:00.
