Tour the natural world inside one of the biggest and best museums in Brussels. See dinosaurs, fossils, and much more.

Located just outside Leopold Park is one of the best museums in Brussels. The Natural Science Museum is full of interactive exhibits. Learn more about nature, see dinosaurs and so much more!

There are three paths to choose from in the museum. 1 hour, 2 hour or 3 hours. That means no matter what kind of day trip you're planning in Brussels, you can always make time for the Natural Science Museum. Here’s everything you need to know!

Exhibits to see

The Natural Science Museum of Brussels has 3 permanent exhibits on dinosaurs, animals, and humans. Occasionally they’ll have temporary exhibits, so keep your eyes peeled. But the permanent exhibits are definitely worth seeing.

  • Dinosaurs! The Natural Museum’s dinosaur exhibit is by far the most popular. And for good reason. Here you’ll see a bunch of dinosaur skeletons on display. You get to interact and learn more by using the touch screens. For the kids, there’s some educational games to play. Discover where fossils have been found in Belgium and so much more.
  • Animals! In this exhibit, you’ll be walking through a taxidermy world. That means all the animals here are stuffed. You do get a super close look at wild animals you’d probably never get to see IRL otherwise, which makes it worth it.
  • Humans! This part of the museum is a quirky evolutionary journey through the history of mankind. How did we come to be? Did we come from apes? You’ll find a bunch of different humans from each evolutionary stage to see how we’ve developed as a species. The dinosaur exhibit definitely has the WOW factor, but this part is definitely worth a look too.
