A local independent brewery by the harbour with a range of unique beers in a stylish bar
Seef is located in the north part of “het Eilandje” in the north part of the city. Eliandje is the oldest port area in Antwerp, but Seef is a pretty new addition. After the recipe for seefbier went missing in the city library, Van Dyck spent three years on a hunt for it. (That’s dedication!) Once the recipe was found, people crowd-funded a brewery in 2017 so we could all have the beer.
- Seef is independent so there’s beers here that you won’t find elsewhere in Antwerp!
- Guided tours are available. You’ll be shown around by a beer expert
- ABC tap room features dishes inspired by beer and some even have beer in them (including the chocolate sauce!) Depending on the dish a different beer is recommended to go with it
- Seef has a wide range of beers available so you should be able to find something you like. If you’re in the mood for something new and different, check out their limited edition range.
- Limited edition beers are unique and should be fun for beer lovers. Otherwise stick to what you know or ask the staff since it’s hard to recommend something without reviews!
- The bar is in Industrial style. Modern and stylish, this bar is a good place to hang out for a casual drink & some food. The courtyard is huge; bands come to play and Seef do summer BBQs. Keep the BBQ party going at Park Spoor Noordeven
