The Great Outdoors

Zwin Nature Park has tons of beautiful spots. It’s right on the Belgian-Netherlands border, so it’s connected to the sea. That means you get dunes, lush flowers, and wacky plants somehow growing in the seawater mudflats.

There’s beautiful lush flowers and other plants in the mudflats using the seawater to survive in this unique environment. The two unique 2 km trails around the reserve show you a little bit of everything nature has to offer.

• Walk along either of the two 2km trails. Take a rest along the way at the bird observation huts
• Each of the huts has interactive info and guides available (Dutch & English) plus activities for kids.
• You get the best views from the top of the Panorama tower but the binoculars in the observation huts are pretty good to use too

Get Bird Crazy

Learn how birds fly, why they fly to Zwin, and how to spread your wings like a bird at their interactive screens. There’s also a hazard cockpit where you can act as a flight captain trying to avoid birds in the sky. Yes, it’s mostly popular with kids but let’s be honest we all want to try being a pilot at least once, right?
