Chapaco Carnival

The Chapaco Carnival takes place in Tarija, located in the south of Bolivia and nicknamed the city of smiles. While the official holiday lasts a few days, the activities and celebrations of this carnival take place during a whole month. Joyful, funny and full of colors, this carnival includes a day to play with water, costume parades, traditional parades, beauty contests, parties, concerts and a lot of regional music, dance and, most of all, endless regional traditions. © Celia Velásquez
