This place has many different adventures that can be interesting for travelers: it is home of the driest desert in the world as well as millennial glaciers in the southernmost part of the planet. It counts many enchanted forests, incredible lakes located at the foot of many volcanoes and wild rivers flowing throughout the whole country. Infinite legends and mysteries populate the beautiful Easter Island, so secluded and remote and yet so alive, especially in February when the local festival Tapati takes place. The locals will engage with you in many traditional activities such as body painting and delicious culinary experiences which should not be missed!. Great cuisine and winemaking traditions are important in Chile too. And last but surely not least, is the lovely city of Santiago: modern, dynamic and organized… while still being a great place for relaxing thanks to its many parks and recreational areas.
Chilean people are warm and welcoming and the getting in touch with them is not difficult. On the other hand, people’s kindness and hospitality is something that surprises many visitors.
A fun fact about Chile: you can experience both summer and winter in the same day! During the southern winter, you can try out some of the best ski slopes in South America in the massive Andean mountains. Do it early in the morning and then hit the road: it’s only a two-hour road journey from the mountains to the ocean, where you can enjoy a delicious seafood dinner on the coast, with the breeze and atmosphere or warm summer nights!

Chile

These rivers play a crucial role in the natural ecosystem of the country (and even the continent) and contribute to the many lakes, wetlands and forests found here. Los Rios region is where Chile's newest national parks, Parque Nacional Alerce Costero is located, as well as what many consider the gem of the area: the Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve, a conservation park where nature is the only character. Because of its somehow special beauty, Los Rios region is very popular among tourists that more often than not venture out of its capital city Valdivia, looking for tranquillity, nature and blue-green landscapes.

Los Ríos

The story of this chocolatier goes back to 1976, when the Montecinos-Kusch and Birke-Engdahl families began the journey of adding value and regional identity to the old German recipes made in southern Chile. This goal was achieved and is a classic  of Valdivia loved by locals and tourist alike.
