Jacó is a great day trip from San José or the airport. It is in a tropical climate zone that has both dry and wet seasons. Generally, August-early December are wet, and late December to early April are dry. Rain or shine, it’s a favorite town for surfers and beach goers. The town is framed by the backdrop of surrounding green hills and mountains against the aqua blue ocean rippled with white cresting waves. Jacó caters to all tourists with a big variety of places to stay, eat, shop and be entertained. There are many things to do in and around Jacó including surfing, hiking, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, marine tours, kayaking, boat rides, zip lining, aerial trams, and more.
