Plaza Real is a commercial plaza of shops, banks/ATMs, restaurants and a movie cinema with outdoor fountains and a nice view of the Central Valley. On a clear day you might see the national stadium in San Jose. Your dining choices range from Italian gelato and frozen yogurt to Spanish tapas; Japanese sushi; steaks, pizza; roast chicken; and Costa Rican typical food. Plaza Real is also home to Alajuela’s Starbucks. It’s just a short walk from downtown Alajuela. It’s very safe and a pleasant place to spend an evening. There are a couple of sports bars, too. Occasionally there are events and outdoor concerts in front of the cinema building. If you go to the movies in Costa Rica, theaters are quite elegant. Treat yourself to Costa Rican VIP seats! It’s pampering at low cost! © CostaRicaPuraVida.org
