Enjoy exploring one of Prague’s most beautiful parks that has a vineyard right in the centre of it! Perfect for a sunny day in Prague

Havlicek Park is known for its pretty Vineyard, but the park is more than that. Don’t miss the other landmarks in the park like Gröbe Villa and Kašna s Neptunem. Planning a day out in Prague? Maybe you have a glass of wine or two at the vineyard in the middle of the park, then explore some of the gems in Havlíčkovy sady aka the park.

You’ll see tons of locals out for runs, walking their dogs, or just chatting with friends. Havlicek is one of those parks where you go to relax. It’s not extremely touristy because it’s away from the city centre, but it’s a strong local fave.

Right outside of the park, you’ll also find one of the most beautiful streets in all of Prague. A combination of architecture and colour makes U Havlíčkových sadu look like a piece of art. So don’t forget your camera!

  • Enjoy a glass of wine at the vineyard where you’ll have one of the best viewpoints of the whole park
  • If you fancy a takeaway pizza to eat while watching the sunset at the park then grab one at Chutney on your way to the park.
  • There’s an iconic landmark called the Grotta in the park. It doesn’t really fit into the rest of the park with its Italian Renaissance style, but the architecture is remarkable as the Grotta is built into an artificial cave. The Grotta is so unique and makes for super cool Instagram shots!
  • The coolest viewpoint from the park in our opinion is right behind Gröbe Villa.

We’ve been lucky to live just a short walk away from this beautiful park. Some nights we go and enjoy the peace and quiet in Havlicek.
