Enjoy the atmosphere at the Sparta Prague Hockey game.

Have you heard of Jaromir Jagr? That famous guy known for that long black mullet he used to have in the 90s? Well, he’s one of the most famous hockey players of all time and he’s from right here in the Czech Republic.

Hockey has always been popular in Czech and one of the best activities atmosphere wise you can do in Prague is to go to a Sparta Prague HC home game at the O2 Arena. Even if you’ve never seen hockey or don’t know the rules we’re sure you will love the atmosphere at the game.

It’s a great activity to do with a few friends where you can go have a few drinks, some good food and enjoy all the cheering, yelling, and celebrating with all the fans. By the end of the game, you’ll be right there with them cheering on the home team!

Don’t forget to go out and celebrate with everyone after the win! You’ll probably be squished in a tram with a bunch of crazy fans but it’s all part of the experience.

  • O2 Arena isn’t that far outside the centre of Prague and it’s also very easy to get to the arena by public transport. There’s a good chance the trains and trams will be packed with fans before and after the game.
  • If you’re looking to turn it into a full-day event then make your way to some of the pubs close to the stadium before the game. They will be packed with local fans getting “ready” for the night ahead.
  • The history behind HC Sparta Praha is quite interesting as they are one of the oldest hockey clubs in the world. You can read more about it here.
