Do you want to explore one of the new trendy parts of town? Then check out Karlín Square!

Karlín Square is known for the church that dominates the square. Well, the church is beautiful but there’s a lot more to Karlín and this specific area. Depending on when you visit, you might be welcomed by a cute little market with local vendors and farmers selling fresh food.

Depending on your mood, you can swing by Dva Kohouti at the northern part of the square. Dva Kohouti is a local brewery where you can sit and order beer or take it to go and enjoy the park in Karlín Square. It’s one of those must do’s when visiting Karlín.

Around the square, you’ll find a bunch of yummy food places and hip shops inside the baroque styled buildings that fill up Karlín. In a way, Karlín is quite unique to Prague and the neighbourhood has started to attract a lot of people - especially the younger crowds. Most evenings and on warm sunny days, the square will really fill up with locals and tourists drinking beers over some laughs. It’s all good vibes in Karlín!

  • North of the square, you have the Vltava River and south you have Vitkov Hill. Karlín Square is right in the middle of the two in the centre of this new hip neighbourhood of Karlín.
  • Karlín has always been known for its industrial factories and even though it’s become quite hip you can still feel that industrial vibe with a new young twist.
  • You will definitely find more locals than tourists hanging around the square and Karlín but it is really starting to attract a younger crowd. This is especially obvious by all the new trendy cafes and food places that have started to pop up in recent years. But you will still be able to find some traditional Czech food at the local pubs. Best of both worlds!
