If it’s a picnic, a pint of beer, or amazing views you can do it all while spending an afternoon at Letná Park.

Situated on top of Letná Hill, you’ll find one of the best parks in the city overlooking the Vltava River and Old Town Prague. You will get a good mix of people coming to the park since there’s a 2.5 km loop that takes you around the park for anyone wanting to exercise. Also smack in the middle of the park, there’s a beer garden where tons of people go everyday to chat over a pint of beer.

Some may even go sit on the sunny benches and read their favourite book while enjoying the views overlooking the city. Our favourite is to grab a blanket, some snacks, and enjoy a nice picnic in the lush grassy area in the centre of the park. Perfect for a sunny afternoon!

  • Get sporty: there’s a great big grassy area on the backside of the park where you can find a bunch of people playing all kinds of sports! Watching people play quidditch is our favourite. It’s a great place to sit if you have a bigger group of friends.
  • Beer Garden: the Beer Garden at the front of the park overlooking the city is a popular place to meet up over a drink. With a bunch of picnic tables, you will always find locals and expats gathered around enjoying themselves in the beer garden.
  • View point: one of our favourite viewpoints in the whole city is actually in Letná Park that you absolutely have to go and get a picture with! The viewpoint overlooks Charles Bridge and the Vltava River. Here’s the spot!
  • At one point in time, the biggest Stalin Statue in the world used to stand in Letna Park. Of course, that’s long gone but now there’s a Stalin Bar where you can enjoy a nice view of the city and the castle.
