Exploring Liberec? Check out Liberec City Hall, one of the most famous landmarks in the city.
The Liberec City Hall is located in the most beautiful square in the city; Edvard Benes Square. It actually wasn’t even built by a Czech but rather by an Austrian architect. It was built by Franz Neumann of Vienna and therefore resembles the town hall building in the Austrian capital.
If Ještěd is the number one architectural gem in Liberec, then the Liberec Town Hall is right behind it. With its Neo-Renaissance style, beautiful balcony, and statue of the Knight Rolan, the town hall really stands out.
Take your time admiring the details carved into the building and the stained glass windows that stand out because of their beauty. So much detail and time was put into creating this masterpiece. It’s safe to say it’s one of the most beautiful town halls you’ll ever run into.
