Náměstí Míru

Go check out and admire one of the most beautiful squares in all of Prague, Náměstí Míru.

Namesti Miru is not your typical square! Located in the heart of Vinohrady with trams going by in every direction, Namesti Miru is always bustling with people.

With ice cream shops, cafes, and yummy restaurants near Náměstí Míru, it’s a popular meetup place in Vinohrady. In the summer months, it’s a great place to find a bench and just enjoy the sunny square and beautiful sights around.

If you’re feeling adventurous then go explore inside the Cathedral of St. Ludmila. Or check out the main area where you will always see cultural and social events going on.

One of the best times to go is actually around Christmas where the square is decorated and has a giant Christmas tree placed right in the center of the square.

• The two bell towers dominate the skyline and can actually be seen from all around Prague.
• There are Christmas markets set up every December where you can buy some yummy Christmas treats from the local vendors.
• No matter what month you visit there will most likely be some sort of cultural event going on. There are usually exhibitions in place in the middle of the square that attract locals and tourists
• If you’re lucky there may even be some fruit and food stands parked up around the square for you to enjoy. It does vary from day to day though.
