Did you know that the Prague Zoo (known as the Prague Zoological Garden) has been ranked in the top 10 best zoos in the world by multiple publications, including Forbes Travel Guide? A big reason behind this is the variety of animals, landscape, and quality of the zoo. Go check out the zoo for an awesome day of exploring!

Take your time walking through the different sections of the zoo and find your favourite section. From the Indonesian Jungle to the Valley of Elephants you will see all sorts of different animals. The rugged terrain truly makes you feel like you’re in the wild and not right next to the capital city of the Czech Republic. We think this makes for a more authentic experience!

It’s the perfect little getaway out into nature and away from the big city. With over 10 km of walking trails, you can spend all day roaming from section to section seeing the different types of animals that live in each area. You may even have a new favourite animal by the end of the day. Who knows!?

• Even though the zoo is so big and spread out you will definitely have your chance to get up close and personal with some animals if you want to. Maybe you can share a bench with a lemur if you’re lucky.
• There are restaurants, cafes, playgrounds, and viewpoints of the city in the zoo. So make sure to spend a full day at the zoo because there is so much to see and do in the park.
• If you’re super sporty you can actually walk from the city to the Zoo. It’s a bit of a longer walk but it’s so pretty.!
