This may be the first and last time a toy train will serve you a drink. Enjoy Railway Restaurant Prague!

It’s not a joke and the name isn’t deceiving at all! There is a literal 400-meter toy railway track that loops in and around the tables at this restaurant. The technology employed is actually quite complex and fascinating. You will see the drinks get poured behind the bar where the bartenders are standing and eventually find their way to your table on the back of the train's wagons.

This is definitely not your fine dining experience as you’ll see lots of kids running around following the train. Even though it’s right in the heart of Wenceslas Square the prices for drinks and food are quite reasonable. It’s one of the reasons why it’s not only a tourist attraction and Czech’s from all around the country come here too.

It’s perfect for the whole family. Kids absolutely fall in love with the train, watching it go in circles and circles around the restaurant as guests take their drinks out of the wagons. To be fair our inner kid came out a little bit too. Who else can say a train brought them a beer?

  • The toy trains can actually reach speeds of up to 20km/h. Usually, a little bit slower when they are delivering the drinks though.
  • The track is quite beautiful as it will pass over drawbridges, through sculptured rocks, and around tables.
  • The menu is quite international friendly as well. You will find some classic kid options meals along with your traditional Czech meals. The owners are Czech and make very delicious Czech food.
