Drink local wine at a vineyard in the heart of Prague at Altán Grébovka while taking in the gorgeous views of one of Prague’s most historic parks.

Head on over to Vinohrady, one of Prague’s most beautiful neighbourhoods to discover a vineyard. Vinohrady actually translates to “Wine Castle”. Yes, a vineyard right in the capital city of the Czech Republic! That’s the kind of neighbourhood we all love to visit. We can absolutely recommend strolling around Vinohrady for hours if not days. It's an amazing neighbourhood and it has one of the prettiest parks in Prague; Havlicek Park.

Grébovka Vineyard is right in the centre of Havlicek park with rows and rows of grapevine growing down below. Perfect for locals and tourists alike who want to get their afternoon buzz on. Sip on some local wine while taking in the views of the southern part of Prague. We’ve heard through the grapevine that if you go on a clear day, it seems like you can see for miles and miles.

Local wine

You’ll be able to taste wine that is directly from the grapevines below which then have been stored in the vineyard’s cellar. Talk about straight from the source! Try out wine from different regions around the Czech Republic. The bohemian white wines are yummy!

  • Bring your cameras: This place overlooks the grapevines below as well as the beautiful park.
  • If you go during the evening, you might be in for a real treat as the sun starts to set.
  • Make sure to check out the Altán Grébovka website to see the food and wine menu as well as any events that may be going on (wedding, wine tours, etc.)
  • Enjoy a takeaway pizza from Chutney just outside the park, get a to-go wine from The Grébovka Vineyard, and find yourself a spot in the park to watch the sunset!
