Have you ever wanted to see the second ugliest building in the world? Now is your chance to see the hideous Žižkov TV tower!
It sticks out like a sore thumb! There’s nothing pretty about the TV tower, but it’s fascinating to see such a hideous building located in the beautiful city. You can see this communist-era TV tower from anywhere in Prague, but it’s worth getting right up close to it. You’ll even see some baby statues crawling all over it. It doesn't make sense at all but that’s the Žižkov TV tower, ladies and gentlemen.
It’s the tallest building in the Czech Republic, the highest viewing platform in the country, and the second ugliest building in the world. So it Czechs off quite a few boxes!
You can go dine inside the tv tower while overlooking the city. Or if you’re in the market for a luxury stay then you can book a night at the 5-star One Room Hotel inside the TV tower! Hopefully, the one room isn’t already booked! Or you can just go to the observatory and overlook the city.
One thing we can give the TV tower is that at night it lights up in red, white, and blue to represent the colours of the Czech Republic and for those few hours it actually doesn’t look that bad. It definitely grows on you.
