**A beautiful nature reserve defined by its unique rock formations. **

Bohemian Paradise, or Český Ráj, is a Protected Landscape Area and a region in Bohemia in the Czech Republic.

In 1955, it was declared as the first nature reserve in the country! At almost 182km², there is tons of natural beauty to discover here - whether you explore by foot or by bike. One of the most recognizable elements of the reserve is the unique rock formations, which have been shaped over time by the elements.

Of these, we'd recommend checking out Prachovské Skály and Hruboskalské Skalní Město - the ladder of which has a beautiful Renaissance chateau (Hrubá Skála) sitting on top of the rocks.

Other points of interest here include:

  • Hrad Trosky (castle and symbol of this region)
  • Kozákov (hill with a lookout tower)
  • Bozkovské dolomitové jeskyně (an impressive cave system with the largest underground lake in the country). There is loads to see and do here!
