High ceilings in more than one sense Oldefar bought Tiendegaarden and moved into the old farm with a suitcase full of visions. In 1902, Susanne Nøhrs grandfather, Anders Madsen Nøhr, bought the lap for the piece of land where the tenth yard's beautiful facade is radiating today. The house, the Nøhr family moved into more than 100 years ago, was a whole different from what is today.

Large rooms provide strength As a baby, Anders Madsen Nøhr lost his mother to tuberculosis. She died in the maternity bed. The son believed that the mother's disease and death were due to the narrow space and the dark rooms with small windows, humid air and low ceilings. When Anders moved into Tiendegaarden, he would give his family a better home: "My grandfather thought it was important that there was high ceilings - in more than one sense. I think so too, "says Susanne Nøhr, who is currently in bed and breakfast at the family farm. An architect was employed to draw an Art Nouveau house. 100,000 bricks from Falster were sailed to Stege and drove to the Tiendegaarden, and in the Klinteskoven bought the farmer timber in the meter. Anders also hired a painter from Hellerup to decorate the dining room and hall with murals. In 1916 the beautiful farmhouse was completed. "I love the stucco ceilings and wall decorations, and I love the old beech tree in the garden. It's not something you can create, it's just there. It's a great gift that you can be allowed to be such a place, "says Susanne, who has worked to get the family soul's authentic soul forward, since she 25 years ago took over the place.

Harmony at home Like most other homes, Tiendegaarden has followed the trends of the day from lowered ceilings to carpeting on the wooden floors. Since Susanne took over the farm in 1986, however, it has happened much. A long time has been demolished, the farmhouse's rooms have been renovated and an old pig stable today houses cozy newly built holiday apartments where families can enjoy a peaceful holiday: "There is a harmony that coincides with the surroundings around the farm. There is not only clasped random things up on the walls as you step into a guest room, "Susanne explains, explaining that the rooms are decorated to fit the house and its style:" We have found the old floors and recreated the old panels. "

High to the sky Oldefaren built a high-rise farmhouse, and the spirit of his grandchild tried to move on: "In the renovated stable, I have tried to make it easy and accessible so that you can go straight from the apartment to the garden, so it's comfortable and relaxing to stay here, "concludes Susanne.
