The Museum of Architecture is a human-sized museum. We strive to provide diverse perspectives, discussion topics, and personal experiences of architecture. Our goal is to activate people's connection to the built environment and to provide tools for understanding architecture.
The Museum of Architecture (formerly the Museum of Finnish Architecture) is a national special museum with internationally significant, large collections and a central position in its domestic and international activities. The museum was founded in 1956 and is the second oldest museum of architecture in the world.
The museum is located in the district of Design District, Helsinki, within the neo-Renaissance building and in the park of the Kaivopuisto park. For a long time, the museum has been trying to find premises that would be more suitable for museum activities.
