EMMA - Espoo's modern art museum is one of Finland's most important art museums. EMMA's collection and exhibition activities in Espoo Tapiola are profiled in Finnish and international modernism, contemporary art and design. EMMA's Showrooms in the WeeGee House, designed by Professor Aarno Ruusuvuori, architecturalistically, are the largest in Finland. The clean modern modern architecture supports the experimental presentation of EMMA, Saastamoinen Foundation and Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation collections as well as changing exhibitions.
EMMA is located at the exhibition center WeeGeelle, which has been revived by the Weilin & Göös printing company Tapiola. Bravely recalling its industrial history, the concrete giant offers its visitors cultural experiences with four different museums. The restaurant is run by SIS.Deli + Café, an organic food.
Half of the 5,000 square meters of exhibition halls built in the former edition of EMMA are continually filling the present Saastamoinen Foundation's art collection. On the other hand, domestic and international art exhibitions change.
EMMA is based on two art collections; EMMA's own ex-city collection in Espoo and the Saastamoinen Foundation's art collection. In addition, EMMA has several other donation and deposit collections.
