Bordering Normandy and Pays de la Loire regions. Bro Gozh ma Zadoù is the anthem of Brittany. It is sung to the same tune as that of the national anthem of Wales, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, and has similar words. The region is composed of fishing villages on the southern coast, medieval fortifications and towns, craggy coastline (including the magnificent Côtes d'Armor of pink granite), parks and nature reserves that make it a favoured destination for lovers of rest and tranquillity. It played a major role in France's history, from ancient Gaul to the Hundred Years' War. Today it plays a significant economic role, based on agriculture, livestock breeding and industry.

Built in the sixteenth century, rebuilt by Vauban in the eighteenth century, the castle of Taurus, only strong in the sea in Brittany, stowed on an island at the entrance to the river of Morlaix has alternately assumed defense functions, prison second home, then sailing school before being abandoned in the early 80s.

The fort is open from April to September by taking celebrities from Carantec or Plougasnou (depending on tides).
