Theater für Niedersachsen Hildesheim - TfN

Fresh, new, with traditions: the Theater for Lower Saxony is Stadttheater and Landesbühne in one. With the season 2007/08 the TfN started as a merger of Stadttheater Hildesheim and Landesbühne Hannover. The Hildesheimer Haus can benefit from more than 100 years of theater experience. Already in 1909 the Stadttheater was founded with the help of committed Hildesheim citizens.

Under the leadership of artistic director Jörg Gade, the TfN brings thrilling, entertaining, classical and innovative productions to its stages in three sections: in addition to a theater and a music theater ensemble, it has a permanent musical company - unique in Germany at a supported theater. It goes without saying that working with such a lively house across all disciplines and cooperating with independent theaters and universities is possible - and always opens up overwhelming moments in the theater.

In addition, the TfN's Young Theater offers children and young people theater to watch, touch and participate in. His valuable theatrical pedagogic work has become a household name in the German-speaking theater scene as a so-called "Hildesheimer Model".
