The Gateway of India is a historical landmark in the Indian city of Mumbai. It was built to commemorate King George V and Queen Mary's 1911-visit to India. The design of the stunning monument was influenced by that of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It was built in the Indo-Saracenic style.
