Shantiniketan, West Bengal

Shantiniketan is a small town in the Birbhum District of West Bengal, India. It is here that the great Bengali polymath Rabindranath Tagore established the Vishwa Bharati University. Today, along with being a university town, Shantiniketan is an eminent center for art and culture.
