Panyaweuyan viewpoint, Majalengka, Central Java

Panyaweuyan is one of those special sunset spots the Javanese are so keen on designating here and there. This one, admittedly, deserves its popularity (so far entirely domestic - it is not mentioned in any guidebook). The panoramic view is lovely and highly variable - the season and the weather change the fields' outlook profoundly. © Mark Levitin
