Tegalalang rice terraces, Bali

The rice terraces of Tegalalang are the most popular terraced fields in Bali. This is partly due to the terraces' steepness but mainly because of their proximity to Ubud. The views are good, but the crowds of tourists during the day somewhat spoil it. © Istock/Tatiana Domarieva
