Cathedral of the Saints Gervasio and Protasio

This was the site of the ancient parish church with its baptismal font, built probably around the 8th century A.D. The two different materials, sandstone and brick, used for the façade, indicate two different periods of construction. The church was in a state of continual transformation until it became a Cathedral in 1600.
