Anatomical Collection "Paolo Gorini" gathers 166 anatomical preparations made by the scientist Paolo Gorini, known preparer corpses, between 1842 and 1881, donated by the heirs to the Maggiore Hospital in Lodi. The current exhibition exhibition was curated by the distinguished pathologist Antonio Allegri and inaugurated by Senator Giovanni Spadolini in December 1981. The exhibition is located in the Ospedale Vecchio, now the headquarters of the ASL of the Province of Lodi, in ancient chapter house of the monks who once ran the hospital. This room, whose ceilings were richly frescoed in 1593 by Giulio Cesare Ferrari, facing the fifteenth century Cloister of Pharmacy. Among the finds there are numerous consequences of diseases spread in the nineteenth century, but now eradicated or less harmful, such as Pott's disease or syphilis.
