The museum, owned by the city, exhibits considerable documentation of the history and dynamics of human settlement in the territory, the most remote of Prehistoric phases until the Roman Imperial Age. Particularly important are the testimonies of the material culture of the Volsci, one of the most important populations of Lazio preromano. The main exhibition halls are dedicated to Prehistory and Early History (Room I), the Archaic Age (Room II) and Roman Age (Room III). Since 2015, the Museum was enriched thanks to the donation of the collection Vittorio Palermo, an important corpus of tardorepubblicane and imperial coins arranged in a modular and interactive coin cabinet. The museum, a permanent non-profit institution, is organized and operates according to the rules of the Regulations and the quality standards defined in the Service Charter.
