In the heart of the city, on the west side of Piazza Galimberti stands Palazzo Osasco where, on the second floor of the number 6, the original words "Fam. Galimberti" and "Avv. Tancredi Galimberti" indicate access to the private house and professional studio respectively which was by Tancredi Galimberti senior and, later, by Tancredi Galimberti junior ("Duccio", hero of the Resistance).
It is proposed to the public a journey back in time, in history, at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, of the Galimberti family. A family that interwined their affairs with those towns and nationals. Passing through the rooms you can "taste" works of art by famous painters including Lorenzo Delleani, Giacomo Grosso, Matteo Olivero and sculptors like Bistolfi and Godet and breathe the atmosphere of when the family lived in those places. A rich library and a family archive are available to scholars.
