The Civic Museum of Castelbuono is the municipal institution which is responsible for the preservation and enhancement of historical and artistic heritage of the area, and that the, now, as a testing center and artist promotion. The history of this family, and the castle in which he resided for centuries his court, is closely linked to the cult of the patron saint of Castelbuono, St. Anne, whose sacred relic, the skull of St. Anne, is more than five hundred years kept inside. A rich history of art, faith, devotion, innovation, told inside the castle through the rich permanent collections of the Museum, on display in the Archaeological sections, Urbanism, of Sacred Art and Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery, a growing core powered by the contemporary and experimental spirit of the museum that offers, every year, a full program of temporary exhibitions and cultural activities.
