The Triumphal Arch, designed by Finale architect Sebastiano Bocciardo and erected in 1666 on Vittorio Emanuele II Square, records the passage of Infanta Margaret Therese through Finalmarina. The seventeen-year-old daughter of Philip IV of Spain, sister of Charles II, was actually going to Vienna to marry Emperor Leopold I of Austria. The arch was ordered by field master D. Diego Alverado, Knight of the Order of Calatrava and Governor of the Marquisate of Finale, under the rule of Charles II of Spain. © Visit Italy / unknown
