Rīgas vēstures un kuģniecības muzejs/ Museum of Riga History and Navigation

Riga History and Navigation Museum has become one of the largest repositories of cultural and historical heritage in Latvia. The museum has more than 500,000 items cataloged in about 80 collections. They reflect Riga's political and economic development, culture and everyday life from the birth of the city to the present day, as well as the history of Latvian shipping. The items included in the Museum's collection, according to their origin, apply not only to Riga and Latvia, but also to a wide geographical area.
