A large, modern hypermarket that offers a wide range of products.
Auchan Kirchberg was opened in 1996 and is part of the Auchan Group, a French multinational retail company. The Kirchberg district, which was previously an industrial region but has since been transformed into a significant economic and commercial hub, underwent redevelopment as part of which the hypermarket was constructed. Auchan Kirchberg is a functionally-designed modern structure in terms of architectural style.
The building's exterior is made up of glass and metal panels, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. A rainwater collection system and solar panels on the roof are just two examples of the store's energy-saving features.
The expansive, open layout of Auchan Kirchberg is one of its distinguishing qualities. With several sections for various products, the store is laid out to be simple to navigate. Since different parts of the store can be quickly reconfigured, this design also enables maximum flexibility in terms of product placement and advertising. With a retail size of more than 14,000 square metres, it is one of the biggest Auchan hypermarkets in Europe. The supermarket carries a wide selection of goods, including food, apparel, electronics, toys, and household goods. Moreover, there is a sizable food court area where patrons can have a quick snack or lunch.
