The square, which is surrounded by historical structures, is renowned for its beautiful architecture and welcoming atmosphere.The Church of Saint Michael is a stunning 17th-century Gothic-style church and one of the most noteworthy structures on Place Clairefontaine. The church is a well-known feature of the plaza and a well-liked location for photographs because of its majestic exterior and high spire.

The Palais de la Bourse, a neoclassical structure that was first constructed in the 19th century as the main office of the Luxembourg stock exchange, is another significant structure on Place Clairefontaine. It now serves as home to a variety of enterprises and organisations.
