An art museum featuring a collection of European art from the 17th to the 19th century.

A 19th-century home that was constructed for a wealthy manufacturer and later used as a school before being transformed into an art museum in 2010 houses the museum. The French military engineer Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, who made significant contributions to the design of fortifications and military strategy, is honoured by having the museum named after him.

More than 300 works of art, mostly from the 17th to the 19th century, can be found in the collection of Villa Vauban. European art by Dutch, Flemish, French, and Italian artists such as Rubens, Rembrandt, and Delacroix are included in the museum's collection. There are also other pieces by Luxembourgish artists in the museum.

In addition to its permanent collection, Villa Vauban regularly holds temporary exhibitions that include pieces by both well-known and up-and-coming artists. The museum also provides a range of educational events, such as seminars, lectures, and guided tours. The gardens at Villa Vauban, which were created by French landscape architect Alexandre Chemetoff and include sculptures and fountains, are well-known for being a lovely place for tourists to unwind and take in the environment. The museum also contains a cafe and a gift shop where guests may buy trinkets and things associated with art.
