Montenegro may be small in terms of area, it boast stunning mountainous landscapes, dramatic coastlines, historic monuments and truly beautiful walled towns. The Montenegro coast is just as gorgeous as that of its better known neighbour, Croatia, and it is for good reason that its main tourist destinations can get crowded in summer. Kotor is developed around Stari Grad, the city's old town and its best known landmark, which is listed within the UNESCO World heritage sites. Kotor Bay is the deepest natural fjord-like bay in the Mediterranean Sea. It is well-known for its World heritage medieval structures, including churches and fortifications and its stunning natural setting at the very edge of the mountain-rimmed Kotor Bay. But there are also other things to see and do out of the bay, like the Tara river or the San Giovanni Fort.

For cat lovers, there is no place like the medieval town of Kotor, Montenegro. The town, which was founded by the Romans in 168 BC, has a noticeably high cat population. For centuries, Kotor served as a trading port for ships from all over the world, and many of the cats who were on the ships were left behind, ultimately populating the small town with a diverse array of felines.
